Wood Stools Work Well In Traditionally-Themed Kitchens
November 13, 2008

Bar stools can create seating even in the most cramped kitchen. There’s nothing worse than inviting friends over for dinner and having nowhere for them to sit. Many people enjoy sitting in stools pulled up to a bar because they can be closer to their host while the host is cooking.
Wood bar stools are a great option for people who don’t like leather and metal. These bar stools are a great accessory in kitchens decorated in a traditional style. There is one thing however, that you should watch out for when using wood bar stools—splinters.

These only really work well in traditionally-themed kitchens. And watch out for splinters.

It all boils down to the taste of a person. But wooden furniture of all kind is classic, comfort and provides a lot of cozy atmosphere.

I haven’t seen any wood stools that have splinters, but they are great for people who suffer from nickel allergies.
There’s nothing worse than developing a rash from sitting on a stool that has metal along the seat or back!

They are a great addition to any traditional country style kitchen.
I think if the wood is smoothed and treated propertly splinters would not be an issue.

Wooden stools are great if it matches your decor. I agree that you can throw them here and there extra seating.

I have a mild nickel allergy, so I know exactly what you’re talking about. I hate the rash you develop. It’s so annoying.

I forgot to mention that a friend of mine has a very bad nickel allergy and when she sat on a metal bar stool for too long, her legs started to swell up. I felt so bad for her.

Wow, I wouldn’t have even thought about people having an allergic reaction when sitting on a stool. That is a good thing to keep in the back of your mind when purchasing.
