Instead of throwing your old bar stools out, find some creative uses for them.  Make plant stands out of them.  If your bar stool has a flat seat, it can make the perfect plant stand. This is great for a DIY project.  You can cut the legs on each stool to different heights for a tiered look.   Make sure that all the legs are even and level. 

Now for the fun part.  When you’re done with the plant stand heights, then strip and repaint each stool or just sand a little to give them a rough weathered look.  Use your own custom colors.
